‘Each builder has put forth some outstanding designs’: See the stunning curb appeal and spacious layout of Glenridding Ravine’s laned homes

The elegant yet straightforward laned home design is proving to be an affordable and amazingly spacious option for new homebuyers.

In Glenridding Ravine by Anthem United in the city’s southwest, the laned home is a popular choice for buyers, offering the beautiful, open concept home they crave, with up to 1,900 square feet of living space, in a desirable community. All for less than a similar-sized front-drive model.

“A laned home only needs a 25-foot lot,” says Anthem United development manager Kevin Backus. “This represents savings to the buyer on the cost of land. Laned homes are more affordable, making them in reach for more families seeking room to grow.”

Many buyers appreciate the curb appeal of laned homes. The garage off the rear lane means the front of each home can have a covered porch or veranda, more flower beds or a lush lawn.

Veteran Edmonton builders Landmark Homes, Morrison Homes and City Homes all offer their spin on the laned home design in Glenridding Ravine.

“These are award-winning, trusted builders known for quality and a reputation for great customer service,” Backus says. “With prices starting in the $330,000s, each builder has put forth some outstanding designs for laned homes in one of the best locations in the southwest.”

Landmark’s Frankfurt show home is 1,790 square feet in size with four bedrooms and three bathrooms. It boasts a walk-in pantry and upstairs bonus room.

Morrison’s show home is the Sutton II. With 1,562 square feet of living space, it boasts a sunken living room, upstairs laundry and a master ensuite large enough for a dual sink vanity.

The Brooklyn by City Homes is 1,652 square feet. The large kitchen has an extended island, spacious dining area and a master ensuite with a freestanding tub.

Each builder has a good selection of lots close to Glenridding Ravine’s vibrant pond and trail system that connects to Whitemud Creek. There’s even a new shopping centre in Glenridding Ravine just steps down the road from the show homes, while Currents at Windermere is only minutes away by car.

Glenridding Ravine is south of Ellerslie road on Rabbit Hill Road in the Windermere Neighbourhood.

Virtual tours of each show home are available online. Or, if you’d rather visit a show home in person, connect with the builder you’re interested in visiting for show home hours during COVID-19 restrictions. Builder contact information is listed at
