When you want your new home to be in the middle of the action, you might want to choose a home in the new community of Chelsea in Chestermere. The community is a short drive to everything the City of Calgary offers and a short drive to Chestermere Lake, says Megan Starke, senior marketing manager at Anthem United, the developer of Chelsea.
“Located on the west edge of the City of Chestermere, Chelsea is perfectly positioned to get residents into Calgary for work or a date night and to the lake for weekend fun,” says Starke. “Chelsea is actually closer to downtown Calgary than most new communities and just minutes away is the 750-acre lake, which is 10 times larger than other lake communities in Calgary and, it is motorized-boat friendly.”
Four new home builders are building in Chelsea.
“Luxuria Homes is building single-family front-drive homes from the $500,000s, Truman is building laned homes from the $330,000s and duplexes from the $310,000s,” says Starke. “Pacesetter is also building laned homes, priced from the $390,000s and Trico’s laned homes are priced from the mid-$300,000s. In fact, we’re the first community in Chestermere to offer laned homes.”
A 10-acre commercial site is planned for the community along Chestermere Blvd. and two additional smaller commercial sites in the middle of the community, as are a K-to-nine school and a high school.
“There will also be three storm ponds and an eco-park, a recreation centre adjacent to the high school site and two regional pathways systems, a north and south loop, connecting all the amenities together,” says Starke. “For now, residents can enjoy shopping around the corner on Rainbow Road or down Chestermere Boulevard at Chestermere Station, and less than 10 minutes away, down 17th Avenue Southeast in Calgary, is East Hills which features many large big box stores; with one of the biggest draws being Costco.”
Chelsea launched this past March 2020 and is selling through its first phase, says Starke.
“It is doing well and a second phase will begin development this fall,” she says. “When completed, it will be home to more than 5,400 residents in a variety of housing types who will be able to quickly and easily enjoy all their favourite activities. Life is better when you live in the middle of everywhere.”
