Shane offers a variety of home styles with flexible floor plans in Cornerstone and Redstone

With quick access in and out, a variety of home products to select from, great amenities and flexible building options, the northeast communities of Cornerstone and Redstone have proven extremely popular with buyers.

Shane Homes has announced six new showhomes — five in Cornerstone and one in Redstone — for prospective buyers to peruse as they envision what their lives could be like in these desirable new communities.

The showhome opening June 27 in Redstone is a front-drive, two-storey model called the Saffron. It’s a spacious 2,600 square feet, featuring four bedrooms, three full baths, a bonus room, a gourmet kitchen with spice kitchen and a finished basement.

“It touches every point all the clientele out there are looking for. It’s got a side entrance to the basement, and all the attributes people like included,” says Jeff Luif, area manager for Redstone.

Shane Homes offers flexibility with options to customize floor plans, allowing buyers to make their home fit their needs to a tee.

“My showhome has all the features, but not necessarily everybody wants all of those. We run their budget and present them with a plan,” Luif says.

Front-drive models start in the $460,000s, and there are only about 28 lots left, so now’s the time to get in if you’re looking for a new build in Redstone.

The community is nearly complete, and has transit service, two future school sites, local retail and space for future commercial development. Set at the city’s far north, the community is handy to Metis and Stoney Trails, making for quick travel to the airport and the shops at CrossIron Mills.

Just south of Redstone is Cornerstone, with four showhomes just opened, and one slated for mid-July.

These include the popular paired homes showcasing the Cascade and Eden V models starting from the mid-$300,000s; laned homes in the Vidora and Aries II models starting from the upper $300,000s, and the front-drive Jaspur, opening July 18, starting in the upper $400,000s.

The Vidora is a generous 1,868 square feet, offering three bedrooms upstairs, and a main-floor bedroom with full bath.

“This is very important for many people at this end of the city, given they have a lot of family that comes for extended visits from overseas, and they are often elderly. They have access to the family, still have separation on the main floor, and don’t have to do the stairs,” says area manager Deb Gearey.

The main-floor bedroom can alternately be made a den or extra sitting area. The second floor features a loft at the top of the space for families to gather, a master bedroom and two smaller bedrooms. This showhome includes a finished basement with bedroom, bathroom and a rec room with wet bar and table nook.

The Aries II is 1,484 square feet, with three good-sized bedrooms upstairs, and a generous front veranda to sit outside and enjoy the neighbourhood.

“It’s a perfect starter home or a perfect downsizer. It packs a punch with no wasted space, and it’s beautiful and customizable,” Gearey says.

The city’s first Major Activity Centre (MAC) will be located in Cornerstone and will offer plenty of shopping and commercial spaces, and 3,000 employment opportunities close to home.
