Shane Homes adds smart home advantage to paired homes in Cornerstone

The northeast Calgary community of Cornerstone has proven very popular with new home buyers, due to its many amenities, excellent access to major roads and new showhomes recently opened by Shane Homes.

“We are excited to have five newly opening showhomes in Cornerstone with home styles for all,” says Satwinder Notay, area sales manager. “We are offering our complete lineup of products from street towns, paired homes, single-family laned and front-drive homes.”

The paired homes have been favourites with buyers, says Notay.

“Our two new paired showhomes are the Vista III and the Cascade, starting from the low $300,000s,” she says. “There are seven models to choose from, ranging in size from 1,569 square feet to 1,684 square feet.

“The homes feature nine-foot main-floor ceilings, granite or quartz countertops and five-piece appliance packages in the kitchens. Options include side entrances and up to five bedrooms available with basement development and lots that can accommodate a double-detached garage.”

“Included in the Cornerstone paired homes is the Shane Homes Smart Home Advantage,” says Notay. “In celebration of our anniversary, we are including smart home technology in every paired and single-family home.”

The Smart Home Advantage allows Shane homeowners to control elements of their homes with voice commands and through their smart phones.

“It provides convenience with the benefit of added security for our homeowners,” says Notay. “Things such as turning lights on and off, adjusting the home’s temperature and seeing who is at the front door.

“The Shane Homes Smart Home Advantage includes Wi-Fi Smart Lock, video doorbell with camera, learning thermostat, smart lighting, a smart things hub, smart Z-wave plugs, and Google Home technology where you can play music, control gadgets, create calendars and smart lists.”

The homes have excellent curb appeal, says Notay.

“Fine crafted exteriors are modern prairie with full-width wooden verandas and glass railings,” she says. “Our homes come complete with front landscaping, adding extra curb appeal. We also have limited opportunities for quick possession homes if you are looking to move in sooner.”
